Jim was born in Galway, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1949.
For a year he worked hard building a house for his wife and family who arrived in 1950. One of the founding members of the Irish Canadian Club of Hamilton, Jim was past president and recipient of the “roll of honour”.
Jim was instrumental in helping many young Irish immigrants find work and settle in Hamilton during the 50s and 60s.
