1994: Margaret Sullivan

Margaret and her husband Jeremiah welcomed Irish immigrants and helped them settle in Hamilton. They were active members of the Irish Canadian Club and use to host their infamous corn roasts for the ICC at their farm.

The Matriarch of a family of 14, she never lost her spark for life and always had a spirited tongue. She loved Sunday family gatherings, dinners, reunions, her Irish music, and always had her harmonica in her purse if you wanted to hear a tune.

Margaret was a proud member of the Catholic Women’s League of Canada for over 70 years.
