Born in County Longford, Ireland. Dan was in the Royal Naval Submarine Detection Service in WW11.
Dan and his wife Eileen demonstrated courage in emigrating with a young family from Ireland to start a new life in Canada. They were life time members of the Irish Canadian Club and were known for their exemplary service and dedication to the Irish community and the promotion of Irish culture and dance in Hamilton.
Dan was the founding member of the North American Feis Commission.
