Eugene was an active member of the Irish Canadian Club where he volunteered and was on the executive. He was also a volunteer youth soccer coach.
Eugene and his Irish band, Crooked Jack, played and organized many music fundraisers for charities such as the Good Shepherd.
Eugene also volunteered with the Golden Horseshoe Feis and the Wearing of the Green Committee.
